The image of a court ruling related to Son Joon-ho (32, Asan, Chungnam), who was permanently expelled from the Chinese professional football stage on charges of manipulating the match, has been released through Chinese online sites, sparking controversy. Chungnam Asan said, "The source is unclear," adding, "There is no problem with Son Joon-ho's domestic career."

A screenshot of the verdict, posted on the Chinese content sharing platform Baizhao, contains witness statements related to Son Joon-ho. Son is said to have stated in a January 2022 match against Shanghai Haigang that he participated in match manipulation by controlling the tempo of the match at the suggestion of his teammate Jin Jingdao. After the match, Son was recorded to have received 200,000 yuan (about W40 million).

Jin Jing-dao's testimony was also included in the verdict, which said Son and Guo Tianyui participated in the betting and did not intentionally go all out in the match. However, the authenticity of the verdict has yet to be confirmed.

Son was arrested in China in May 2023 and admitted to receiving money and valuables at a press conference after returning home in March last year, but insisted it was not an illegal reason. The Chinese Football Association permanently expelled Son, but FIFA rejected a request to extend the disciplinary action worldwide. As a result, Son joined K League 2 Chungnam Asan and continues his career. 스포츠토토
